India had already showcased strong form in the tournament, with back-to-back wins over Pakistan and the UAE in earlier matches. However, it was the UAE’s triumph over Oman that mathematically confirmed India’s progression, eliminating any remaining uncertainty about their Super 4 berth.
With qualification already assured, India are expected to use the September 19 match against Oman to rotate their squad and provide opportunities to benched players.
