Dubai: India has secured a place in Group A Super-4 of the Asia Cup as they defeated Hongkong by 26-run here on Tuesday.
With this defeat, Hong Kong journey ended at the Asia Cup, where as the Indian team will now have to ready to compete against Pakistan on Wednesday.
It wasn't an easy task for India to beat Hong kong at the Asia Cup, but Sikhar Dhawan made it possible by scoring 127 runs in 120 balls, and helped India to post 285 runs as target with seven wickets in 50 overs.
However, Hong Kong added 174 runs for the opening wicket but soon after the partnership went down, India returned to the match. The Hong Kong team scored 259 for eight wickets.(UNI)
