Asian Games : Saina Nehwal enters Women's Singles quaters

Jakarta: Indian Shuttler Saina Nehwal progressed to the quarter-finals in the Women's singles competition after beating Indonesia's Fitriani 21-6, 21-14 in the 18th Asian Games held here on Saturday.
The Indonesian after being demolished in the first game, she fought back in the second game, and the scores settled at 18-14.The old world no 10, Saina at the interval of the second game she took a lead 11-9. Earlier, Saina trailing 4-8, and later brought it to 9-9 before snatching the lead.
 
Saina, never lost to Fitriani in the three meetings they have had so far.India is looking for its first gold medal in the women's singles in Asian Games, all eyes is on Olympic medal winners Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu.
