India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test : A Bangladesh fan was admitted to the hospital after being beaten by Indian fans on the opening day of the ongoing India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The fan, known as Tiger Robi, was reportedly struck in the lower abdomen by other spectators. "They hit me on my back and lower stomach, and I couldn't breathe," Robbie told Sportstar. Security personnel promptly took him to the nearest hospital for immediate treatment.

However, police at the venue have denied the allegations. A police source stated, "One of our officers found him near the C Block entrance, panting and struggling to speak. It appears to be a case of dehydration, but we will await the doctors' assessment."

Prior to the series, there were calls to cancel the matches with the hashtag #BoycottBangladeshCricket trending. This was largely due to political turmoil in Bangladesh where minority Hindus have faced attacks from muslim extremists. Several Hindu organizations threatened to disrupt the ongoing Test, including the Hindu Mahasabha and Janajagriti Samiti, which demanded the cancellation of the match

While the first match in Chennai concluded peacefully, the incident involving Robbie in Kanpur has raised concerns. A T20 match is scheduled to take place in Gwalior, where the Hindu Mahasabha has threatened to dig up the pitch if it is not canceled.
