Mumbai: The kiwis started their new season of cricket with a 6 wicket win against India at Wankhede Stadium and took a 1-0 lead in the 3 match series. Featuring in his 200th ODI, Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first. Trent Boult gave early blows to team India, but captain's knock of Virat Kohli took team to 280 runs on the board.
In reply Kiwis were struggling at 80-3, but a mammoth 200 runs partnership between Ross Taylor and Tom Latham took the game away from India. Tom Latham was declared man of the match for his ton.
The next match is scheduled on 25th October in Pune.
