COVID-19 : India logs 3,641 new cases in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India recorded a single-day jump of 3,641 Covid-19 cases during the past 24 hours taking the active caseload to 20,219, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday.
 
The death toll has risen to 5,30,892 with 11 more deaths being recorded in the past 24-hours.
 
As many as 1,800 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. The total number of people who have recuperated from the disease is at 4.41 crore (4,41,75,135), while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.19.
 
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 6.12 while the weekly positivity was pegged at 2.45 per cent.
 
According to the Ministry, 220.66 cr total vaccine doses (95.21 cr Second Dose and 22.86 cr Precaution Dose) have been administered so far, said the Ministry.
 
Meanwhile, 92.18 cr Total Tests have been conducted so far; 59,512 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, said the Ministry data.
 
Meanwhile, marking a sudden hike in the number of positive cases, the national capital has reported 429 new Covid cases and one death in the last 24 hours, according to a daily bulletin issued by the Delhi Health Department on Sunday.
 
The national capital currently has 1,395 active Covid cases, with the positivity rate currently standing at 16.09 per cent, the bulletin stated. (UNI)
