A video of former Indian cricketer Sanjay Bangar's son Aryan is going viral on social media, which revealed that 23-year-old went through a hormonal replacement surgery. Currently living in Manchester, Aryan has now changed his name to Anaya.

Aryan (now Anaya) recently shared his transformation journey in an Instagram reel. In the reel, he can be seen with his father Sanjay Bangar, former India skippers Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni in the initial frames. Then he shared some pictures of himself after the hormonal replacement and revealed that he has become a trans-woman after 10 months of HRT. However, the reel has now been deleted.

Aryan is now happy to be Anaya. Taking to Instagram, he said that "I made many sacrifices to fulfill my dream of playing cricket. But apart from this game, there is another journey, which is related to my own discovery. This journey of mine has not been easy. But, the victory in this is bigger than all other things for me."

Just like Bangar, Aryan is also a cricketer who has represented Islam Gymkhana in local club cricket. Apart from this, the left-handed batter has also played for the Hinckley Cricket Club in Leicestershire.

However, now Anaya won’t be able to play in international cricket. In November 2023, the International Cricket Council (ICC) stated transgender athletes will not be allowed to participate in women's cricket.

Taking to Instagram, Anaya also shared a lengthy post to express disappointment over ICC's new rule. Her post highlighted the emotional and physical challenges she faces as a transgender woman in the cricket world.
