CSK icon MS Dhoni lands in Chennai for training ahead of IPL - WATCH

Chennai: With the kick off of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket carnival less than a month away, former India and five-time champion Chennai Super Kings(CSK) skipper MS Dhoni landed in Chennai on Wednesday evening for pre-season training, beginning Thursday.

Clad in a black t-shirt and sunglasses, Dhoni, popularly called as 'Thala' was escorted out of the airport by a large posse of security officers.

"Thala Dharisanam (A glimpse of Thala)...#Whistle Podu #Den coming"," CSK posted in X, tagging the photo of iconic Dhoni's arrival.

Other members of the CSK including skipper Rituraj Gaikwad too will take part in the 10-day pre-season training camp at the CSK High-Performance Centre at suburban Navalur.

Dhoni was retained by CSK as an uncapped player in the 2025 auction for Rs four crores.

The CSK will start this edition's campaign against Mumbai Indians, also five time champions, at Chennai on March 23.
