New Delhi: Veteran Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir, condemning the havoc created by followers of self-proclaimed godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, said today that it was a classic case of religion marketing.
The 35-year-old, who is renowned for his upfront opinion, tweeted, "Wonder what Ram & Rahim are thinking about the 'Insaan' & his misdeeds today! A classic case of religion marketing! #PanchkulaViolence." So far, at least 31 people have died and more than 200 others injured as violence flared up in Punjab and Haryana after a special CBI court in Panchkula convicted the controversial godman in a rape case.
