Dhoni takes 2-month break to serve paramilitary regiment ahead of Windies tour: Reports

New Delhi: According to reports, former India captain M S Dhoni has conveyed to BCCI that he will be taking two-month break to join Parachute Regiment of Territorial Army, ahead of Selection Committee meet in Mumbai on Sunday to pick India squad for the West Indies tour starting from August 3 to September 3.
Dhoni is an Honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment of the Territorial Army.
There was speculation that wicket-keeper batsman might announce retirement after World Cup, but so far there is no word from Dhoni himself and has told BCCI that he will take a two-month sabbatical from the game to serve his paramilitary regiment.
 
India will play three T20 internationals two matches will take place in Florida and one in Guyana. The visitors will also play three ODIs and two Tests.(UNI)
