Wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has recently kicked off his second innings as a commentator despite having enough fire in the belly to go all guns blazing with the bat. Karthik has co related his personal life with the bat in a very suttle way which is being applauded and critized by the Netizens present on the different social media platforms.
Recently, The right handed batsman was seen giving commentry inputs in the WTC final between NZvsIND. In the second ODI between England and Srilanka he made a statement which turned out to be controversial.
“Batsmen and not liking bats, they go hand in hand. Most of the batters don’t seem to like their bats. They either like another person’s bat. Bats are like a neighbour’s wife. They always feel better,” He stated.
This followed a series of tweets which condemned the alleged sexist remark of Dinesh Karthik. While few co related this with his past life.
Many fans co-related his analogy with the bat and neighbour's wife with his past life. It is to be remembered that Dinesh Karthik who started his ODI career in England in 2004 was married to Nikita but the relationship turned sour gradually. Later both headed towards a splitsville and Dinesh Karthik got married to Indian squash player Deepika Pallekal and Nikita got married to Indian Test Opener Murali Vijay. Karthik has represented team india in 26 Tests, 94 ODIs and 32 T20Is. (WD)
