Rishabh Pant Breaks Silence on Approaching RCB: Social media is as beneficial as it is harmful. Every citizen has the freedom to express their opinions or share news but sometimes that news is false, and surprisingly, many people believe it without checking it. This misinformation often spreads simply to gain attention. In the sports world, while many athletes have learned to ignore these rumours, Rishabh Pant chose to respond differently.

Recently, a user named Rajiv claimed on social media that Rishabh Pant had reached out to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) through his manager, hoping to secure the captaincy, but that RCB management had rejected him. The post further asserted that Virat Kohli did not want Pant on the team due to his perceived political strategies within the Indian team and the Delhi Capitals.

Upon reading this, Pant decided to confront the user directly. He criticized the spread of fake news on social media and urged others to verify their sources before believing and sharing such claims.

Rishabh Pant has been with the Delhi Capitals since the start of his IPL career, amassing 3,284 runs in 111 matches, with a highest score of 128* against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018. He became the captain of Delhi Capitals for the 2022 season. After a serious car accident in December 2022, Pant made a remarkable comeback in Test Cricket and scored a brilliant century in his first Test match back against Bangladesh
