Exit of PV Sindhu draws curtain to the India's campaign in Indonesia Masters

Jakarta: India's challenge at the Indonesia Masters Super 500 badminton tournament ended with PV Sindhu's defeat against Thailand's Ratchanok Intanon on Friday.The former world champion suffered 12-21, 10-21 straight game defeat at the hands of Intanon here at Istora Senayan.

This is Sindhu's fifth consecutive loss against the Indonesian. The two shuttlers last met in the Uber Cup last month where the Indian suffered 21-18, 17-21, 12-21 defeat.
Earlier, young sensation Lakshya Sen missed out the Super 500 semifinal after losing to Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien Chen.

The 20-year-old Indian suffered 16-21, 21-12, 14-21 against Chou in the quarterfinal.This is Chou's second win over Lakshya. In their first meeting at the Thomas Cup last month, the Indian faced 19-21 21-13 17-21 loss.(UNI)
