Veteran India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir got into an ugly Twitter war late Tuesday night after Pakistan's 10-wicket win over India in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 clash on October 24 in Dubai.

It all started as Amir taunted Harbhajan after India's loss to Pakistan in their opening T20 WC match. Amir tweeted: “hello everyone woh pochna yeah tha @harbhajan_singh paa ji ne TV to ni tora apna koi ni hota hai end of the day its a game of cricket.”

In response, Harbhajan shared the video of him hitting a six to Amir, winning the match for India, in one of the bilateral contests against Pakistan. The off-spinner wrote in reply: “Ab Tum bi bologe @iamamirofficial yeh 6 ki landing tumhare ghar k tv par to nahi hui thi ?? Koi nahi hota hai end of the day it’s a game of cricket as u rightly said.”

Amir then shared a video where Harbhajan was hit for four sixes in an over by former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi. “me busy tha @harbhajan_singh apki bowling dekh raha tha test jab LaLA ne apko 4 bowls pe 4 sixes mare thay but cricket hai lag sakte but test cricket me thora ziada ho gia tha”, Amir tweeted.

Responding to Amir's video, Harbhajan asked Amir about the match-fixing incident at Lord's. Harbhajan wrote: “Lords mai no ball kaise ho gya tha ?? Kitna liya kisne diya ? Test cricket hai no ball kaise ho sakta hai ? Shame on u and ur other supporters for disgracing this beautiful game.”

The feud did not stop there as Amir went on to use derogatory language towards the Indian off-spinner. However, the Turbanator did not relent in his opinion of Amir.

Harbhajan then slammed Amir and tweeted: “For people like you  @iamamirofficial only Paisa paisa paisa paisa .. na izzat na kuch aur sirf paisa..bataoge nahi apne desh walo ko aur supporters ko k kitna mila tha .. get lost I feel yuk talking to people like you for insulting this game and making people fool with ur acts.”

Notably, Pakistan cricketers Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Amir, and Salman Butt were involved in a spot-fixing scandal during Pakistan's tour of England in 2010. All three were handed substantial bans, but Pakistan gave Amir a chance to return to international cricket in 2016.

Amir and Asif were found guilty of deliberately bowling no-balls and they were banned from the sport for some time.
