Former cricketers hail India's 4-1 series win against Nz

New Delhi: Former cricketers Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman among others hailed Men in Blue 35 run victory against New Zealand in the fifth and last ODI to win the series 4-1 in Wellington on Sunday.The BCCI and ICC too wrote on their twitter handle congratulating team India for sealing the series 4-1 against New Zealand.   

For India Ambati Rayudu 90 and Hardik Pandya 45 played a pivotal role in India's win in the series.Ambati Rayudu (90 off 113) and Vijay Shankar (45 off 64) stiched 98 run stand with a respectable total of 252. 

While New Zealand in reply chasing a target of 253 were bundled out for 217 in 44.1 overs.

India now play three-match T20I series against New Zealand, starting from Wednesday.(UNI)
