DubaiThe Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will face a legal battle in front of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Dispute Resolutions Committee over the next three days.
ICC will hear the charges within three days. Three members panel includes Michael Beloff QC, Jan Paulsson and Dr Annabelle Bennett.PCB has accused the BCCI of not honouring their agreement, signed in 2014, to play bilateral series between the two nations. The PCB claims that this has caused large commercial losses to them.

According to the agreement signed in 2014, India and Pakistan were scheduled to play six bilateral series between 2015 and 2023 with four of those to be hosted by the PCB. However, BCCI has claimed that they have no authority on the same and have to follow the Indian government orders, that has prohibited any bilateral cricket between the neighbours, following which PCB claimed loses in last November.

Prior to this hearing,  the Pakistani Board has also demanded a compensation Rs 447 crore from the BCCI. PCB has alleged that the cancellation of the bilateral series between the two countries has resulted in huge financial losses. Indian Board has twice refused to play bilateral series with Pakistan.

According to the agreement, there was a bilateral series from  2015 to 2023 between India and Pakistan.  Since, the 2007 Pakistan tour of India, the two countries have not played any bilateral cricket series.  After Pakistan-sponsored terror attack on Mumbai in 2008, relations between the two countries had worsened.
