Chennai:There are a number of ways to show once's love and passion. But an ardent fan of three-time Indian Premier League Champion and five-time runner-up Chennai Super Kings
(CSK) and its skipper 'Thala Dhoni', has displayed his passion towards the Yellow Brigade in a novel way--by painting his house Yellow.
A painting of Dhoni and his Jersy No.7 dotted both sides in the front walls of the house at the remote village of Arangur near Thittakudi in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. A giant logo of CSK was seen on the side walls andthe words 'Home of Dhoni Fan' at the entrance welcomes the visitors.
This novel expression of love and passion displayed by R Gopikrishnan, a Forex trader in Dubai, has generated more curiosity among the locals.
In fact when the IPL was shifted to Dubai, Gopikrishnan,an ardent fan of CSK right from its inception, could not hide his joy as he was eager to watch the action live and cheer his favourite team and MSD as he was staying close to the Dubai stadium, which was one of the three venues for the current IPL edition.
But he was shattered as entry of spectators to the stadium was banned in view of the COVID-19-induced pandemic.
Having returned home from Dubai, Gopikrishnan was planning to renovate his house, when the idea to paint his house Yellow with CSK's logo flashed through his mind. And the response from his parents, also die hard cricket fans. was instantaneous, Gopikrishnan was quoted as saying.
Concerned over criticisms against Dhoni and the CSK'snone-too-impressive performance in the ongoing IPL after making a winning start, Gopikrishnan decided to inject positivity in people's mind and decided to paint his house in Yellow.
A local artist painted the photos of Dhoni and the CSKlogo and Gopikrishnan spent about Rs 1.5 lakh for this purpose.
And he was all the more thrilled as CSK acknowledgedit by terming it as a 'super duper tribute'.
Sharing the pictures of the House painted in Yellow in its twitter handle, the CSK wrote
