IND vs BANG, 2nd Test: Day 3 of Kanpur Test abandoned due to wet conditions

Kanpur: The India-Bangladesh Test match at Green Park has been marred by inclement weather, with Day 3 being called off due to a wet outfield despite no rain since the morning.

Persistent moisture near the bowlers' run-up and patches across the outfield made it impossible for the ground staff to prepare the field in time for play.

Bangladesh, resuming from 107/3, could not take the field on Sunday after just 35 overs of play in the first two days. Mominul Haque remains unbeaten on 40 from 81 deliveries, while Mushfiqur Rahim is on 6 from 13 balls. The current partnership stands at 27 from 37 balls.

Akash Deep has been the pick of the bowlers for India so far, having dismissed, Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam. Ravichandran Ashwin claimed Najmul Hossain Shanto for 31 with a sharp LBW decision at 80/3 in 28.5 overs. Jasprit Bumrah, bowling economically, has 0 wickets for 19 runs from 9 overs.

With two days left in the Test and better weather predicted, fans hope to see more action on the fourth day. The match has already lost two full days to weather interruptions, putting the teams under pressure to make up for lost time.
