Johannesburg: India head coach Rahul Dravid said that captain Virat Kohli, who suffered an upper back spasm, is "improving" and "should be good to go" in the third and final Test against South Africa.

KL Rahul lead India in the second match after skipper Kohli was ruled out of the match just before the toss.

"I think from all accounts Virat should be fine. He had the opportunity to run a little bit. From everything I have been hearing, he should be good to go. He is really improving," said Dravid in a virtual press conference on Thursday.

Dean Elgar's unbeaten knock of 96 helped South Africa beat India by seven wickets in the second Test and level 1-1 the three-match series, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).

South Africa also became the first Test side to beat India by successfully chasing a target of 200-plus on two occasions, with the last one coming in 2007 at Cape Town. (UNI)
