Pune: Brillaint half centuries by KL Rahul (54 off 36 ) and Shikhar Dhawan ( 52 off 36), Manish Pandey 31 off 18 not out (4 fours), and fine bowling spell by Navdeep Saini 28/3, Shradul Thakur 19/2 winning by 78 runs against Sri Lanka to clinch the three-match series 2-0 here on Friday.Cahsing a target of 202 Sri Lanka were bundled out for 123 in 15.5 overs.
After losing toss India started on a brilliant note with openers KL Rahul (54 off 36 ) and Shikhar Dhawan ( 52 off 36) bringing fifties. Apart from Shikhar and Rahul, Manish Pandey (31 off 18), Virat Kohli (26 off 17 balls) and Shardul Thakur (22 off 8) also played useful innings for India.
The duo of Dhawan and Rahul took their chances and and executed their shots well, scoring 63/0 at the end of six overs.Dhawan kept on thrashing Lankan bowlers.(UNI)
