IND vs NZ: Shaw, Ishant in Tests, Agarwal replaces Rohit for ODIs

Mumbai:The BCCI on Tuesday announced India squad for the upcoming two match Test series against New Zealand, starting February 21 in Wellington. 
Opener Prithvi Shaw made a comeback in the Indian Test team after 2 years while the All-India Senior Selection Committee also named Ishant Sharma in the squad but subject to passing a fitness test. Earlier, the pacer had injured his ankle in a Ranji Trophy game for Delhi.
 
With Rohit Sharma being ruled out of the ODIs and Tests due to a calf injury, Mayank Agarwal has been named as his replacement in the ODI squad. 
 
"Vice-captain Rohit Sharma sustained a left calf muscle strain during the fifth T20I against New Zealand at Tauranga on Sunday.He underwent an MRI scan in Hamilton on Monday. The opening batsman has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI and the Test series and will be referred to the National Cricket Academy for further management of his injury," BCCI said in a statement.
 
''The senior selection committee has named Mayank Agarwal in the ODI squad as Rohit's replacement, '' it added. Meanwhile, Navdeep Saini was named in the test squad which also feature Shubman Gill, making the cut after playing some impressive knocks in the India 'A' games against New Zealand 'A'.
