IPL 2020: SRH stay alive in playoffs race, DC playoffs wait extended (Full Video Highlights)

Sharjah: Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by five wickets in the 52nd match of the IPL 2020 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, here on Saturday to stay alive in the playoffs race of the tournament.

Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers produced a clinical performance to restrict Royal Challengers Bangalore to paltry 120/7 in 20 overs.

Josh Philippe (32) and AB De Villiers (24) were the highest scorers for RCB while Sandeep Sharma (2/20) and Jason Holder (2/27) were the star performers with the ball for SRH.

In reply, SRH overhauled the target in the 15th over with 5 wickets in hand. Wriddhiman Saha (39 off 32), Manish Pandey (26 off 19) and Jason Holder (26 not out off 10) played important knocks for SRH.

With 2 crucial points, Hyderabad lifted themselves from the 7th spot of the IPL 2020 points table to the 4th spot, pushing Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders a spot below.



On the other hand, RCB have 7 wins to their name from 13 matches and occupy a place at the 2nd spot in the points table.

Earlier in the day, MI beat DC by 9 wickets in the 51st match of the IPL 2020 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, in Dubai.

DC posted a low total 110/9 in 20 overs while MI after losing one wicket easily chased the target in 14.2 overs.

Defending champion MI have 18 points from 13 matches and are sure to stay among top two.

DC from 13 matches lost their sixth game and have 14 points. DC have now lost four matches in a row.



Capitals stand at third spot and will have to wait for playoffs for their match against RCB match on Monday. (UNI)
