IPL 2022, PBKS vs GT: Punjab Kings to face Gujarat Titans today

Mumbai: Mayank Agarwal-led Punjab Kings will face Hardik Pandya's Gujarat Titans in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Brabourne Stadium on Friday.

Punjab started off their 2022 season by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore before going down against Kolkata Knight Riders. Agarwal's team, however, bounced back as they floored Chennai Super Kings to sit at fourth position with four points. Gujarat, on the other hand, are the only undefeated side, having beaten Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals.

Pandya's team sits at third position with four points. While the side would look to extend their winning run, the venue is the same where Punjab defended 181 against Chennai. Although Jonny Bairstow didn't play against CSK, but if he does open with Shikhar Dhawan followed by Agarwal and Liam Livingstone then Punjab could possibly form an enviable top-order.

Meanwhile, Gujarat have some issues to resolve with Matthew Wade and Vijay Shankar struggling with form. As such they may be replaced by the likes of Wriddhiman Saha, Rahmanullah Gurbaz or Gurkeerat Mann Singh.

And if Varun Aaron, who picked up a niggle against Delhi, doesn't recover then Darshan Nalkande, Yash Dayal or Pradeep Sangwan could possibly replace him.
