IPL 2023: Cast of ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ to feature on Star Sports ‘Cricket Live’

New Delhi: The cast of the highly anticipated film ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ is all set to join Star Sports ‘Cricket Live’ for IPL 2023.
 
Star Sports is the official broadcaster of IPL 2023.
 
The special segment on Star Sports ‘Cricket Live’ will feature Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Sobhita Dhulipala, and interacting with the Star Sports in-house talents on cricket and everything IPL.
 
In a behind-the-scenes video released by the broadcaster, the cast of PS-2 shares their favourite cricket memories and their admiration towards Indian cricketers. Aishwarya Rai expresses how cricket is loved by everyone at home, while Jayam Ravi reveals that if he were to make a movie about a cricketer, it would be the story of Yuvraj Singh.
 
Trisha talks about the energy and aura that surrounds MS Dhoni's entry into the stadium, and Vikram calls ‘Thala’ as one of Tamil Nadu's own. Aishwarya Lekshmi proclaims her love for CSK and the electrifying atmosphere MSD creates whenever he enters the field.
 
Sobhita and Karthi are also seen talking about their most incredible moments from IPL. The cast adds that IPL 2023 offers all the action and adrenaline-pumping drama just like their upcoming movie, ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’.
 
The movie 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' is set in 10th century Thanjavur, with the Chola dynasty emperor Sundara Chozhar and his sons Aditya Karikalan (played by Chiyaan Vikram) and Ponniyin Selvan (played by Jayam Ravi) aspiring to expand their kingdom. With PS-1 being a national hit, viewers and fans can't wait for the blockbuster to hit theaters soon.

 
It will air on Thursday, and on April 28th & 29th. ‘PS 2’ will hit the big screens on April 28. (UNI)
