Bengaluru: Chennai Super Kings' batting coach Michael Hussey said the Impact Player rule is like fielding 12 players which helps his side as it is replete with many kinds of allrounders.

"I feel it is like playing with 12 players now. We are quite lucky in our setup because we have got so many different all-rounders, I feel it helps us a little bit. I feel we can lengthen our batting by playing an extra batsman there or if you are bowling second, you can make changes on the bowling side of things as well."

"It gives the captain so many different options because we have got different all-rounders. It has been positive certainly for us and it seems to be positive for other teams as well," he told reporters on the eve of the RCB-CSK match here.

Hussy also spoke about the marquee encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore as well as the Impact Player rule in a chat with the media.

On the marquee contest, Hussey said he is expecting yet another classic contest tomorrow and added his side needs to play at their best against Bangalore who are coming into the match with a win behind them.

"I’m sure even the older guys will have butterflies as well, you know. Everyone is very excited, as I said before. It’s a great occasion – playing RCB in Bangalore. I think the players are looking forward to it."

"It is always a great occasion. They have got a fantastic team and have been playing good cricket. They would have got some confidence from their win the other day. So we will have to come and play at our best to win the match," he told reportes on the eve of the match.

"We have had some classic contests with them in the past, whether it be in Chennai or in Bangalore. So, we are expecting nothing different," Hussey underlined.

"The main message to the players is to enjoy it. You do not get the chance to play in these kinds of environments too often. Just enjoy the experience because it is a fantastic occasion to be part of," he added. (UNI)
