Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Cricketer Association on Wednesday provided financial assistance to a former ailing cricketer of Rs one lakh, who is undergoing treatment for chronic disease in the national capital.
The family of the cricketer Munish Raghuvanshi, extended their gratitude and thanks to JKCA CEO Aashiq Bukhari for the timely financial aid for the treatment of the cricketer.
In a letter addressed to the JKCA, the family expressed their thanks to the CEO for acceding their request and sanctioning the amount for the cricketer's treatment, who was admitted to a hospital after suffering from acute Pancreatitis.
They also thanked Justice CK Prasad (COA) for granting approval of the financial aid and former veteran cricketer, Mr Ranjeet Kalra, who came forward to help and took up the matter with the JKCA authorities and when the matter was brought to his notice by his friend Sourav Chopra.
Pertinent to mention here that ailing cricketer Munish Raghuvanshi had represented J&K in Under 19 and Under 23 tournaments. (UNI)
