Bengaluru: India batting star KL Rahul and Karnataka pacer Vidwath Kaverappa are set to make comebacks to the Ranji Trophy as part of Karnataka’s squad for their crucial match against Haryana.

The must-win encounter is scheduled at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, from January 30 to February 2.

Rahul’s return, after a five-year hiatus, is expected to significantly bolster Karnataka’s batting lineup.

Meanwhile, Kaverappa’s inclusion, following his recovery from an injury sustained during a Duleep Trophy match last September, adds strength to the team’s pace attack.

Kaverappa, a pivotal member of Karnataka’s bowling unit, has been declared fit by the medical staff, providing the team with a dependable option as they push for a knockout berth.

Both Rahul and Kaverappa are expected to play vital roles in Karnataka’s bid to maintain momentum and secure a spot in the tournament’s next stage.
