Meanwhile, Ishant and his wife Pratima also uploaded their selfie infront of a vaccination centre.

Cheteshwar Pujara and his wife Puja too shared snaps of taking the vaccine jab and urged everyone eligible to get vaccinated.

“Puja and I got our first dose of the vaccine today. Urge each one of you to try and get yours too if eligible,” he wrote.

India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, pacer Umesh Yadav and Senior opener Shikhar Dhawan have already got their first dose of coronavirus vaccine.

The Indian team will be leaving for England on June 2 for a three and a half month tour, comprising of six Test matches including the World Test Championship final against New Zealand.

Head coach Ravi Shastri was the first from the Indian cricket team to receive the vaccine. He got his first jab in the first week of March, when vaccination was made open for all senior citizens.
