New Delhi: Couples, who wish to wed but face numerous obstacles, could look forward to some solutions in the Tamil movie 'Let's Get Married', the maiden production venture of cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
The trailer of the film has been made public.
The plot focuses on couples, whose dreams to start a new life together are tied in knots.
Ivana and Harish Kalyan play the two main characters in the movie, billed as a comedy drama.
The protagonist of the tale is Gautam, who adores Meera and desires to wed her, but at the same time wants to be with his mother, a suggestion Meera does not like.
As a result, Gautam decides to take Meera, his future bride, to Coorg so that their relationship can also grow.
Nadia and Yogi Babu also play important roles in the Ramesh Tamilmani-directed film, backed by Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd. Dhoni's wife Sakshi is also a partner in the production venture.
Speaking at the launch, Dhoni said: “I can watch it with my daughter. She is eight and half years old, she will have questions, but can watch it… When Sakshi came up with the idea and explained everything. I said we are making it in Tamil and it’s destiny, which I believe in."
The movie will hit the box office on July 31. (UNI)
