During the second match of the One day International series being played between India and Australia in Sydney, an unusual incident took place that no was expecting of.
Around the 20 th over of the Indian innings, while Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli were
on the batting ends, a man from the audience went on one knee and popped the question to his girlfriend.
The cameras moved towards the couple and the whole stadium started cheering for them. The man bent on one knee looked anxious while waiting for his partner’s answer to which she nodded in yes and the crowd cheered.
After the girl accepted the proposal, the couple shared a kiss and waved at the camera happily. Even the commentator Adam Gilchrist was appealing to the girl to say yes! The girl seemed stunned by such a big and surprising gesture but seemed very happy with it.
Interestingly the couple was there to support different teams. The girl was wearing the yellow Australian jersey while the guy was wearing the Bleed Blue Indian jersey. This proved that love knows no boundaries.
Although India lost the match to Australia by 51 runs but one Indian won over an Australian
