Chennai: Former Sri Lankan offie Muttiah Muralitharan has been admitted to a private hospital here for cardiac treatment.Muralitharan is in Chennai as part of the coaching staff of Sunrisers Hyderabad, which has been playing its initial IPL league matches here.He is expected to rejoin the team after treatment.A bulletin issued by Apollo hospital on Monday said Muralitharan was admitted for cardiac evaluation yesterday.He underwent successful coronary angioplasty with stents under the care of Dr G Sengottuvelu, Senior Interventional Cardiologist.He will be discharged today and would resume his normal activities.
