Chennai: Former Sri Lankan offie Muttiah Muralitharan was on Monday discharged from the hospital after successfully undergoing coronary angioplasty.
He was admitted to Apollo hospital here for cardiac treatment on Sunday.
After the successful procedure, he was discharged from the hospital today evening.
A bulletin issued by Apollo hospital today said Muralitharan was admitted for cardiac evaluation yesterday.
He underwent successful coronary angioplasty with stents under the care of Dr G Sengottuvelu, Senior Interventional Cardiologist.
He would resume his normal activities soon.
Muralitharan is in Chennai as part of the coaching staff of Sunrisers Hyderabad, which has been playing its initial IPL league matches here. (UNI)
