Dubai: Nepali spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, who is currently playing in the 11th season of the IPL, was named in the ICC World XI squad to take on the West Indies in a charity T20 International on May 31. A charity match will be played between ICC World XI and West Indies to raise funds for Caribbean stadia ravaged by hurricanes last year.
Sandeep has managed to secure place in ICC World XI while Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan has withdrawn from the game due to personal reasons, the ICC stated on Wednesday. 17-year-old Sandeep is the first Nepali player, who is playing the IPL match. Delhi Daredevils inducted him in the IPL players auction.
