Nottingham: New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has tested Covid-19 positive. He will miss the second Test against England in Nottingham on Friday.
Tom Latham will be leading the side in Williamson's absence.
"Williamson undertook a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) after experiencing minor symptoms and will now begin five days of isolation," New Zealamd Cricket said in a statement.
"The rest of the touring party have returned negative RATs and will continue following the tour health protocols of symptom reporting and subsequent testing if required," it added.
Head Coach Gary Stead confirmed Hamish Rutherford would join the squad as Williamson’s replacement. (UNI)
