New Zealand speedster Matt Henry ruled out of T20I series against Pakistan

New Zealand's Matt Henry will miss the remainder of the T20I series against Pakistan as he continues his injury rehabilitation.Originally named in the squad for the fourth and fifth T20Is, New Zealand Cricket announced on Saturday that the pacer will not join the team and will instead focus on his recovery.

Matt Henry injured his right shoulder while diving in the outfield during New Zealand’s ICC Champions Trophy semi-final win against South Africa. The injury, along with an ongoing right
knee issue, forced him to miss the tournament’s final against India.Zak Foulkes, who was initially selected for the first three games of the series against Pakistan, has been retained as a replacement.

Additionally, Will O’Rourke, who was originally picked for the first three games, will now feature in the final two as well, replacing Kyle Jamieson in New Zealand’s bowling lineup.

Jamieson was named Player of the Match for his impressive figures of 3/8 in New Zealand’s win in the first T20I. He missed the second match before returning for the third, where he had a tough outing, conceding 0/54 as Pakistan cruised to a nine-wicket victory to keep the series alive. New Zealand lead the five-match series 2-1, with the final two games set to be played on Sunday in Mount Maunganui and Wednesday in Wellington.(UNI)
