Kaithal: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that apart from developing infrastructure facilities to promote sports in the state and financial assistance, the government has secured future of players by providing them reservation in jobs.
Speaking as chief guest at the Parliamentarian Sports competition being organised here, he asserted that Haryana is known for its brave farmers, brave soldiers and brave wrestlers.
Motivating the players to play in the spirit of sports, the Chief Minister said that 1,100 sports nurseries are already running in the state to promote sports and this time in the budget it has been decided to open 400more new sports nurseries.
He further said that players who win international competitions are given the highest incentive amount in entire country.
An amount of Rs six crore will be given to Olympic gold winner, which is the highest among all states.
He said that by giving reservation in government jobs to players, they are strengthened economically, he said that 500 posts in A, B, C category of government jobs were created, out of which 223 posts have been filled.
Apart from this, the results of 13,000 posts of Group D will be declared soon, under which 1,300 players will be given jobs, he added.
