Lahore:The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board's disciplinary panel Justice (retired) Fazal-e-Miran Chauhan on Monday issued a notice to Umar Akmal and the board, requiring their attendance for a hearing on April 27.
Umar is facing charges for two breaches of Article 2.4.4 of the PCB Anti-Corruption Code in two unrelated incidents. The 29-year-old had earlier decided not to contest the charges.
The hearing has been scheduled at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, while all safety precautions and physical distancing measures, in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, will be strictly enforced in order to safeguard all those involved, PCB said in a statement.
Earlier, Akmal was provisionally suspended on February 20, 2020 and could not take part in the Pakistan Super League after it was established that he failed to disclose corrupt approaches on two different occasions.(UNI)
