New Delhi: Reigning Olympic champion javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has confirmed his participation for the Diamond League in Laussane, Switzerland, starting from August 26.
Chopra, who was recuperating from his injury in Germany, shared a picture of him with a caption: "Feeling strong and ready for Friday. Thanks for the support, everyone. See you in Lausanne!"
Chopra sustained a groin injury during the World Athletics Championships last month and has been advised a month’s rest. As a result, he had been ruled out of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
At the 2022 Athletics World, Chopra had claimed silver with a throw of 88.13m to became the second Indian to win a medal at the Worlds, after Anju Bobby George’s bronze in 2003. (UNI)
