Rohit Sharma IPL Innings T20 World Cup : Day by day, the T20 World Cup is drawing closer and the hype has already begun. The innocent, broken hearts from last year's ODI World Cup have once again started hoping that India will bring home the T20 World Cup. However, since the BCCI announced the squad for India, half of the players seem to be out of form.

The biggest concern is arising for Rohit Sharma, whose performance is currently so poor that it is painful to watch him play. Just look at his last five innings: 6, 8, 4, 11, 4 these numbers are even painful to contemplate.

When Hardik Pandya was given the captaincy, Mumbai Indians fans thought that now Rohit Sharma could play freely as a pure batsman as he has no burden of captaincy but he disappointed his fans. At the start of this IPL, he played aggressively, which is his natural style of batting. He even scored a century against the Chennai Super Kings. However lately, his form has plummeted and the thought of Rohit Sharma as the T20 World Cup opening batsman makes fans dizzy.

On the other hand, Hardik Pandya who was booed wherever he went to play, has started to regain his form lately.

Before T20WC selection
4 wickets in 7 matches

After T20WC selection
7 wickets in 3 matches*

Mumbai Indians are now at the bottom of the IPL points table, and all the MI players Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Rohit Sharma  should solely focus on their T20 World Cup form and start making strategies coz These are big names in international cricket, although Jasprit has never gone out of form.

He is the kind of player even the opposing team admires. Suryakumar Yadav is already the world number one T20 batter. He even smashed a century against Sunrisers Hyderabad which is being captained by the player who silenced 1 lakh people in the odi world cup final.

Mumbai Indians have two more matches in the IPL against Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants on May 11 and 17. They need to regroup and focus on their T20 World Cup preparations.
