Sourav Ganguly ready to offer Eden Gardens for quarantine facility

New Delhi:In a novel gesture, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has offered the Eden Gardens indoor facility and the players dormitory to the West Bengal government, in order to be used as quarantine facilities in the wake of Novel Coronavirus outbreak. ''If government asks us, we will definitely hand over the facility. Anything that is need of the hour, we will do it," Ganguly said. 
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases rose to 562 in India on Wednesday morning, while the death toll currently stands at 10, the Health Ministry said.Earlier, the Cricket Association of Pondicherry (CAP) had also offered the dormitory in it's Tutipet campus as a quarantine facility for Coronavirus patients in Puducherry.Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced a 21-day lockdown in the country, in an attempt to prevent the spread of the virus and bring the situation under control.(UNI)
