Srilanka ends win drought of 12 ODIs, drubs India in the opener

Dharamsala: Sri Lanka speedster Suranga Lakmal's 4/13 helped the tourists thrash India by seven wickets in the first ODI of the three-match series at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium here on Sunday.

Sri Lanka are 1-0 up against India in the three match ODI series almost after 10 years. Earlier in the morning Lanka won the toss and opted to field putting India to bat. The Sri Lankan bowlers were disciplined, and bowled the right length and the right areas bundling out India for 112 in 38.
2 overs.

At one stage India were 29/7 during the 17th over before MS Dhoni's brilliant 65 rescued the team from major trouble. It is to be noted that Srilanka has lost 12 ODIs consecutively before this match. (UNI)
