New Delhi: Former India cricket opener and BJP, MP Gautam Gambhir stand was named after him at Arun Jaitley Stadium here in the national capital on Tuesday. Gambhir himself unveiled the Gautam Gambhir stand on Tuesday at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
After unveiling Gambhir said, "Arun Jaitley Ji was like a father figure to me and it is a matter of great pride and pleasure to have a stand built in my name at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. I thank the apex council, my fans, friends and family who supported me at every step," he tweeted. "Having played most of cricket here, the game has given so much to me and feel honored that the stadium will now have Gautam Gambhir stand, the former opener said.(UNI)
