Kabul: In a surprise move, Rashid Khan quit as Afghanistan's T20I captain just minutes after the World Cup squad was announced with him as the captain.
Khan took to Twitter to express his disappointment at not being consulted regarding the team selection, this he gave as the reason for his decision to relinquish captaincy.
Following Khan's decision the Afghan Cricket Board (ACB) announced Mohammad Nabi as the captain of the team.
Nabi has in the past captained the side in T20Is from 2013-14. (UNI)
