Telangana CM congratulates Gongadi Trisha for historic century in Women’s U19 T20 World Cup

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy extended his heartfelt congratulations to Gongadi Trisha for becoming the first player to score a century in the history of the Women’s U19 T20 World Cup.

In a message shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister lauded Trisha, saying, “Well done, Telangana child! My heartfelt congratulations to Gongadi Trisha, who has showcased our country’s strength on the global stage by achieving this historic milestone.”

Trisha, hailing from Bhadrachalam in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, has made the state proud with her outstanding achievement. The Chief Minister expressed his hopes for Trisha’s continued success, emphasizing her potential to inspire young players in Telangana.

Highlighting the government's commitment to sports development, CM Revanth Reddy announced the establishment of the Young India Sports University to nurture young talent and prepare them for global competitions. He called upon players to take advantage of the government’s initiatives and draw inspiration from Trisha’s remarkable accomplishment.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed the state’s dedication to recognizing and promoting talent, aiming to produce more world-class players like Trisha who can elevate Telangana's stature on the international stage.
