New Delhi: Star India batsman Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma have been blessed with a baby boy, named Akaay.
Anushka gave birth to Akaay on February 15, as per the note shared by Kohli on his Instagram handle.
This is the second child of the couple, as they were earlier, in February 2021, blessed with a daughter, named Vamika.
"With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika's little brother into this world!" Anushka wrote.
However, the couple has not shared the photo with their child.
Moreover, they not only made any announcements while expecting Akaay, but also not share any posts on social media.
While Anushka made minimal public appearances, Kohli withdrew from the ongoing five-match Test series against England. The star batsman was expected to play the last three matches but did not join the squad.
Interestingly, his close friend and South African cricketer AB de Villiers had confirmed the news on his YouTube, but backed off in his second video, and in the third video, he tendered an apology.
This news however has ended Kohli's absence from the ongoing India-England series.
What the name Akaay means?
The name 'Akaay' is derived from the Sanskrit language and means 'immortal' or 'non-decaying'.
