Chennai: Mo Bobat, RCB's Director of Cricket, believes that the star Indian batsman Virat Kohli is in excellent form, hitting the ball exceptionally well as his team is gearing up for the high-octane IPL campaign.

“Virat's in a good place. We all know he's an absolute champion cricketer. So he's at a stage of his career, in a stage of his experience now, where most of what he does is pretty hardwired into him. He's coming in fresh, which is what we're excited about,” he said at the pre-match press conference here on Thursday ahead of RCB's opener.

Bobat expressed confidence in the RCB team, stating that they have a fantastic group of players who are in good physical condition with no injury concerns.

He pointed out that the team's readiness to seize the opportunity in front of them and mentioned their focus on playing their style of cricket. "We are going to pay most of our attention to how we want to play our cricket," Bobat added.

Bobat highlighted the strength of RCB's bowling attack, particularly in terms of both pace and spin options.

He also noted the abundance of international and IPL-winning experience within the team's bowling resources.

Additionally, he stated the presence of high-quality Indian fast bowlers who bring international and 'A' team experience to the squad.

Bobat also spoke about the strength of RCB's spin department, highlighting the potential of players like Himanshu Sharma and Mayank Dagar, along with the experience of Karn Sharma.

He also stated the presence of all-rounders such as Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green who are expected to make significant contributions.

Bobat expressed confidence in RCB's balanced side and asserted that the team is well-prepared, having put in considerable effort during the auction to recruit the desired players.
