Dubai:After becoming the first Asian captain to win a Test series on the Australian soil, India's skipper Virat Kohli, the leading run-scorer in Tests in 2018, was named captain of the ICC Test Team of the Year.
Two other Indian players Rishabh Pant & Jasprit Bumrah have also made the cut. Other players are three from New Zealand and one each from Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, Australia and Pakistan, ICC declared here on Tuesday.
Virat was also named as the ICC captain of 2018 ODI team. Three other Indian players ? Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav and Bumrah have also been included in the ODI team of the year.
The India skipper had scored 1,322 runs at an average of 55.08 with five centuries in 13 Tests, while he accumulated 1,202 runs at an average of 133.55 with six tons in his 14 One Day Internationals (ODIs).
Of all 12 Test-playing nations, New Zealand finished with the highest win-loss ratio of 4.00. They are well-represented in the ICC Test Team of the Year.
