New Delhi: India U-19 all-rounder Rajvardhan Hangargekar has said that he has always been a diehard fan of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and getting picked up by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL mega auction was a great moment for him.
Last week, CSK acquired Hangargekar's services for Rs 1.5 crore.
In a video posted by IPL on Friday, Hangargekar said: "Winning U19 World Cup was a great moment for everyone of us. Everyone wants to play in the IPL and were expecting to be picked by any team after the World Cup. By the time my slot number came, that was the moment I got excited. The great teams of IPL, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings were bidding for me that was really a good moment for me. "
"I have always been a diehard fan of M S Dhoni. My father use to like CSK a lot because he really loves Dhoni and always wanted me to play for CSK. He use to say that, if I get picked by any team it has to be Chennai. I am really happy to be picked by CSK," he added. (UNI)
