New Zealand’s left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel made history when he took all 10 wickets of Team India in a single inning in second Test at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.
Ajaz became the only third bowler after England's Jim Laker (10/53 against Australia in 1956) and India's Anil Kumble (10/74 against Pakistan in 1999) to claim the 10-wicket haul.
Ajaz also became the first Kiwi to take all 10 wickets, bettering Sir Richard Hadlee’s 9/52 against trans-tasman rival Australia in 1985.
As Ajaz walked back to the stands after getting perfect 10, he was given a huge standing ovation from the Wankhede Stadium crowd and also from Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. BCCI has shared this video. (Inputs from UNI)
