We are high on confidence after historic Pakistan series win : Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurusinghe

Chennai: Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurusinghe said the 2-0 historic series win against Pakistan at their homeland has given the a team a lot of confidence as the visitors gears up for the first test against India beginning on Thursday.
 
Talking to reporters here, he said senior batters are expected to shoulder the burden as the team faces a much stiffer Opposition--a full strength Indian team as part of the World Test Championship series.
 
Both the teams are determined to make a mark and start the series on a winning note.
 
The coach said senior players like the experienced all rounder Shakib Al Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mushfiqur Rahim are expected to shoulder significant responsibility as they look to build on the Test match performances away from home.
 
"The win against Pakistan certainly gives us a lot of confidence coming into this series," he said.
 
He also spoke about how to adapt to the conditions and handling he key Indian successful spinners offie R Ashwin and left armer Ravindra Jadeja.
 
The Bangladesh team will largely rely on its highly spin attack and then the batting, which he said has the depth, recovering from 26 for six and went on to win the test against Pakistan and the series.
